Add structure without replacing the relationship

Recovery Coordination for Therapists and Psychiatrists

A client may need more recovery accountability than a therapy or medication-management appointment can provide. The Firm supplements the existing team and protects each professional’s role.

Keep the clinician clinical

Therapists and psychiatrists should not have to chase tests, verify meetings, coordinate every transition, arbitrate family agreements, or become the sole point of accountability. With appropriate authorization, The Firm can manage those operational functions while the clinician continues the therapeutic or medical work.

When an added accountability layer may help

The need is determined individually, not by diagnosis alone.

  • Repeated missed appointments or inconsistent follow-through
  • Substance use complicating psychiatric assessment or medication adherence
  • A step-down from residential or intensive care
  • Family conflict repeatedly entering the clinical relationship
  • Frequent travel, school, work, or housing transitions
  • A need for structured monitoring or recovery coaching between appointments

Defined communication prevents triangulation

The engagement should identify what information may be shared, with whom, how often, and what requires escalation. The Firm reports agreed facts and patterns; it does not reinterpret a clinician’s diagnosis, prescribe treatment, or use monitoring as a substitute for clinical judgment.

A referral does not surrender the relationship

The Firm can coordinate around an existing therapist, psychiatrist, treatment program, or physician. The goal is to make the care plan more executable—not to capture the client or displace trusted professionals.

Common questions

Can a therapist remain the primary clinician?

Yes. Roles and communication are defined at the outset, and The Firm works within the agreed coordination or accountability scope.

Will The Firm send clinical records through a website form?

No. The initial form establishes safe contact only. Appropriate authorization and a suitable communication process should be established before sensitive records are exchanged.
