Frequently Asked Questions About The Firm
Clear answers about our team, services, locations, fees, and how to get started.
What is The Firm Addiction Consulting?
The Firm is an independent intervention and family consulting practice headquartered in Nashville. We help families prepare for intervention, compare treatment options, and coordinate practical support before and after a treatment decision. Explore our services.
Who leads The Firm?
Darren Hobbs, CIP, is Founder and President. Zach Livingston, CIP, CCMI, works in intervention, recovery coaching, and case management. Lizzie Harrigan, LCSW, PMH-C, is Clinical Director. The people assigned to your engagement and their responsibilities are confirmed with you. Meet the team.
Where are you based, and do you work outside Nashville?
Our headquarters is at 108 Harding Place, Suite 200, Nashville, TN 37205. We serve families nationally through virtual consultation and coordinated travel when appropriate. Location pages describe service areas; they do not necessarily indicate a local office. Review our service areas.
Can we contact you before our loved one agrees to help?
Yes. Family members can seek guidance about their own preparation, communication, and next steps before a loved one participates. That does not authorize forcing an adult into treatment. Read our guidance on treatment refusal.
What services can we discuss?
Depending on your circumstances, you can discuss intervention, family consulting, independent treatment placement, case management, recovery coaching, sober companion support, monitoring, and transport coordination. The scope and availability of each service are confirmed individually. View all services.
Is The Firm a rehab facility or treatment-center admissions department?
No. The Firm is an independent consulting practice. We help families evaluate options and coordinate appropriate support. Clinical assessment, treatment, prescribing, and admission decisions remain with appropriately qualified professionals and receiving providers. Learn about treatment placement.
What is the difference between family consulting and an intervention?
Family consulting focuses on communication, boundaries, alignment, and practical decisions. Intervention adds a planned process for preparing participants, presenting a treatment or assessment option, and planning follow-through. The right starting point depends on the situation. Compare family consulting and intervention services.
How much does working with The Firm cost?
An initial service inquiry is at no charge. Professional fees depend on the service, preparation, personnel, travel, duration, and continuing support involved. Confirm the written scope, fees, expenses, and any optional services before committing. Read about intervention cost and scope.
Do you guarantee that someone will accept treatment or stay sober?
No. A prepared process can organize options and family participation, but it cannot guarantee another person’s decisions or recovery. We also do not guarantee legal, employment, or academic outcomes. Learn how to evaluate intervention outcome claims.
Can professionals refer a client or family?
Yes. Clinicians, treatment programs, attorneys, advisers, and other professionals can discuss a referral. Roles, consent, information sharing, and coordination are agreed for the situation. Start a professional referral.
Are the free family tools diagnostic tests?
No. The tools help people organize observations, family decisions, and next steps. They do not diagnose a condition or replace a qualified assessment. Explore the resource library.
